Masters School of Hair design offers a full service Beauty Salon with students monitored by excellent Instructors. Offering everything from:
- Basic Colour
- Advanced Colour
- Basic Hair Cutting
- Advanced Hair Cutting
- Perms (Including long hair wraps)
- Styling and up-dos
- Manicures
- Pedicures
- Facials
- Scalp and Hair Treatments
- Superfluous Hair Removal (Waxing and Body Sugaring)

Our course is designed to train students to meet or exceed the needs of a demanding beauty industry. Our instructors are very well qualified, with journeyman status and many years of experience. Continuous upgrading, through advanced courses and seminars help us to better prepare you for your future.
Admission Requirements
- Minimum Grade 10 or equivalency, with Grade 12 preferred due to the amount of theory involved in the course
- 16 years of age
- Medical certificate required
Enrollment
- Continuous enrollment (usually the first Tuesday or Wednesday of every second month)
- January/March/May/July/September/November

Program Length and Cost
- 1400 hours (approximately nine months)
- Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Required to stay later on some Thursday evenings

Financing
Paid in full at the time of commencement (or pre-arranged payments, subject to interest charges).Student loans are available for those who qualify
Dress Code
- Specifies full uniform, either dress or pant type – white tops with black bottoms only
- Nylons or black socks must be worn
- Shoes must be black with good support. Duty shoes are best – absolutely no runners
Graduation Recognition
- Students must receive a 75% theory and a 75% practical average in order to receive a school certificate. Students must be willing to make the commitment to attend school full-time (40 hours/week) plus study for weekly and final exams.
- Students are advised to contact their local Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Branch to discuss all matters concerning recognition of training towards apprenticeship and trade certification.
Additional Training
- Upon successful completion of our advanced body sugaring module, students receive certification as an Alexandria Body Sugaring Practitioner.
- In addition to our comprehensive hair styling program, students will also become proficient in basic manicures, pedicures, facials, & scalp treatments.
Towards the end of the program, students are required to spend time in salons for a maximum of 64 hours training, which gives them added insight into this industry and introduces them to potential employers.
Attending hair shows is encouraged, attendance at one trade show is required. We believe in keeping on top of current trends and seeing what is new in the marketplace.
In addition to our in-house body sugaring program, we also bring in special resource people such as colour and perming technicians, facial and makeup technicians, etc., to broaden the students’ awareness of various choices open to them in the industry.
