The Ultimate Neck Clean-up
(previously published in The Experts Magazine)
My husband has so much hair on his neck which makes him itchy and uncomfortable when he wears a shirt with a collar. I shave it in between hair cuts and he gets a lot of ingrown hairs. Is there any help for this problem?
If excessive unwanted body hair is a problem, there is a safe and effective way to reduce it. I would recommend trying the advanced Alexandria Body Sugaring method of hair removal. This service is offered at Masters School of Hair Design, where it is part of the training program for the students.
The area to be treated is cleaned and prepared, then the sugar paste is moulded onto the area. The pasted surrounds each hair it comes in contact with and is quickly flicked off in the direction of hair growth. This pulls the hair out of the follicle, causing the follicle to collapse and a finer hair to grow in.
If sugaring is done on a regular basis, the hair becomes much finer, and some hairs may not grow back in at all. The method will work, but whether or not your husband will like it is a different matter. Although this method is more comfortable than waxing, he will definitely feel the hair coming out. The first time always has the most hair to remove. After that it gets easier and easier.
If the neck is sugared every time the hair is cut, the re-growth will diminish in no time at all. There is also less chance of ingrown hairs. If you can get your husband to try the “ultimate neck clean-up”, he can say goodbye to that itchy collar for good.
